Article Summary

This devotional article Caregiving Like God: Reflecting God’s Heart to Others highlights how everyday acts of caregiving beautifully mirror God’s own character. Drawing from Scripture and adapted from the Caregiving Keys for Living book, it shows that when we feed, comfort, lift up, listen to, or simply sit with someone, we reflect the heart of God. Each caregiving action is paired with a Bible verse showing how God cares for us in the same way. The message is clear and encouraging – caring for others is not just a task, it is a sacred calling that allows us to imitate Christ and embody His love.

The following article is adapted from our Keys for Living book, Caregiving: A Blessing, Not a Burden.

Read below and see the many different ways in which helping and caring for others reflects God’s own care for us. It’s an encouraging reminder of how God uses you to bless others – and how He uses others to bless you.

“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do,

because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love,

 following the example of Christ..”
(Ephesians 5:1–2 NLT)
