For the Woman Suffering
Please read this short note from a staff member at Hope for the Heart.
Every Friday, I go and sit in a room with a bunch of other people getting all sorts of infusions. But every week, I’m on the same schedule as this one woman on chemo.
She breezes in with her husband (who is deathly afraid of needles) and undergoes treatment. I’ve heard about her boys in baseball, school (I think she’s a teacher), and life in general.
But she’s lost her arm, as of last week her hair, and is about to go into a wheelchair because she has issues walking.
I don’t think she knows how “seen” she is. I love to sit there and close my eyes and pray for her healing.
So, for the woman suffering, you are seen. You are loved. You are held by God.
We pray for you and every woman who is suffering, often silently, and does not feel seen. God knows. God sees. He loves you more than you know. Whatever battle you’re facing, we pray that the Lord will be near to you and give you His strength and peace. We hope these passages from God’s Word provide some comfort to you.
“You have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul.”
(Psalm 31:7 NLT)
“You are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you.”
(Isaiah 43:4 NLT)
“I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.”
(Jeremiah 31:3)
“The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.”
(Psalm 29:11)
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
(Isaiah 41:10)
“The LORD is near to the brokenhearted
and saves the crushed in spirit.”
(Psalm 34:18 ESV)
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
(2 Corinthians 12:9)
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.”
(John 11:25–26)
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”
(Psalm 23:4, 6 ESV)
“He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
(Revelation 21:4)
