Hope For the Heart is extending its reach to nearly 2,400 pregnancy resource centers in the United States and Canada and more than 250 affiliate centers in 18 countries around the world.
In light of Washington’s most recent legislation, HOPE FOR THE HEART offers free biblically-based training and counseling materials and practical alternatives to women who are in an unplanned pregnancy.
“With the current economic climate, finances are a big concern for pregnant women. By offering free training and teaching materials, pregnancy resource centers can reallocate more funds to the important physical needs of expectant mothers such as pre-natal vitamins, diapers and the many needs of newborns,” said Jack McNairy, Vice President of Ministry Outreach for Hope For The Heart.
Since its inception, the ministry has provided more than $775,000 in educational materials free of charge. This year, Hope For The Heart is providing its newest training materials called “Lifelines for Living” as a way for expectant mothers to earn “baby bucks” or “mommy money” for attending parental education programs through the resource centers. By attending these training sessions, they can earn credits towards items they can use in the care of their newborns.
According to June Hunt, founder, CEO and CSO (Chief Servant Officer) of the ministry, “Every day we receive testimonials about how our Biblical Counseling Keys are having a positive impact on visitors of the centers and how lives are being saved because women understand they still have choices, in spite of an unplanned pregnancy.”
